Carbon footprint data
In this interactive activity, learners will dive into the numbers behind climate change and discover how the carbon cycle connects to everyday activities, from watching TV to travelling and heating homes. By working with real data, practical calculations and familiar examples, learners will explore where carbon dioxide (CO₂) comes from and how it builds up in the atmosphere. Along the way, they will decode the climate-change language they hear in the news and global discussions, building confidence in key terms such as carbon footprint, emissions and carbon neutrality, and developing a clearer picture of how individual and national choices shape our planet’s future
