This activity supports learners to investigate first hand the renewable energy source of solar power and understand how it can be harnessed.
It has been designed for KS3, but can be modelled for KS2 or conducted in smaller groups.

- Recycled tall or medium plastic bottle
- Recycled Small bottles to fit inside bigger ones
- Small length of hose or inner tube
- Black paint
- Tape and scissors
- Aluminium foil
- Stop clock and thermometer
- Sunshine
