Wildlife corridor game
In this lively outdoor science activity, learners will become pollinating insects as they explore what happens when habitats are broken up and hard to cross. Using a parachute-style game, pupils will discover how habitat fragmentation makes it more difficult for wildlife to find food, shelter and safe routes between green spaces. They will then explore how wildlife corridors can help reconnect habitats, before thinking about practical ways to make their own school grounds more welcoming and wildlife-friendly.
