Living books

This creative literacy activity encourages learners to bring stories to life by recreating scenes or characters through art and imaginative play. By reading a story in a carefully chosen outdoor location and responding with artwork made from natural, recycled or art materials, pupils deepen their understanding of narrative, setting and character. The activity supports reading comprehension, creativity and sensory engagement while helping stories feel vivid and memorable.
